Choosing A Site Name
This site could have had many different titles:
- Jewish Ancestors
- Jewish German (Reformers)
- Jewish Merchants
- Jewish Genes
- Ancestral Connections
- Merchants, Artisans and Children of David
- Jewish GGGGGGGGGGGG-Grandmothers
And the current title may be radically changed (updated 3 September 2018); when I get a better focus as to what I want the site title to convey.
I would say at least four direct ancestral (family) lines have strong ancestral connections to an area of Germany prior to 1066, 4 cities in particular, which were known for their thriving Hebrew/Jewish communities.
- MAINTZ
- WORMS
- Kandel – home to the SILVERS (SILBERS) family; who migrated to North carolina in the mid-to-late 1700.
- Sperey (SPIEIR) – I believe to be the homeland and name-sake of the Speer/Spear family who migrated and settled in the South Eastern US.
- Rhine River Valley (region).
- Palantate region.
This will evolve, so for the title is good enough for the first little while.
